News and Updates

SCP Homes Learning Exchange

The SCP 'Homes for People' Group, recently had a learning exchange visit to Gairloch and Loch Ewe Action Forum (GALE) to see their award winning development at Achtercairn. The Communities Housing Trust provided a tour of several of their completed builds along the way. This helped form the discussion about the need for more homes for people in Sutherland, and also the opportunities and challenges that come with living in a remote and rural location. With thanks to the The GALE Centre and Gairloch Museum for being excellent hosts, and the Communities Housing Trust for an incredibly informative tour.
