Best in the World!

This week the Highlands were named as one of the 

'Best in the world' destinations for visitors.

 The National Geographic highlighted rewilding work carried out on the 

Alladale Wilderness Reserve in Sutherland.

 Funding Opportunities

Closing date is the 29th November for grants of up to £5000.



Voluntary Groups Sutherland have funding from the Anne Duchess of Westminster Fund to distribute across Sutherland. The awards are available to community groups in the county in amounts of up to £1000.
The closing date is 18th November. Find more information by contacting VGS at contact@vgs.scot


This fund supports initiatives that 
improve the health and social welfare of
children and young people up to age 25.  The awards are up to £3000. The closing date is 30th November. Find more information here: Essentia Foundation | Foundation Scotland
 Grants are available to communities with less than 10,000 residents, in remote, rural, economically deprived areas.  Grants of between £2000 and £10,000 are available for core costs, salaries, running and project costs. Have a say on Energy Bill Relief

SCVO is encouraging every Social Enterprise, Community Organisation, Charity and Voluntary Group to have their say on the Government's 
Energy Bills Relief Scheme.  
Responses to this questionnaire will help inform and shape the review of the Energy Bill Relief Scheme in March. The deadline for responses is 31 October 2022. 
 








Have your say on an Assynt Work Shed



A survey has been launched to find out the volume of interest there might be in the development of a Work Shed in Assynt. This could be a space used by different groups, such as a Men's Shed or a place to learn new skills and crafts.  Have your say here:
