New Tool from Glasgow University


Glasgow University, Social and Public Health Sciences Unit have developed a new, online, interactive map which shows which residential areas have access to 

  • Healthy food retail
  • Public transport
  • High frequency public transport
  • Social and cultural services
  • Primary healthcare
  • Pharmacy
  • Primary school
  • Eating establishments
  • Accessible public open space
  • Recreation and sports facilities
  • Financial services
  • Superfast broadband (fixed)
This tool may prove useful for evidencing funding applications and targeting support. You can find it here:  Living Local Data Portal

 Funding Opportunities



The Corra Foundation are administering a one million pound Household Hardship Fund provided by the National Lottery Community Fund. The fund opens on the 22nd of November and organisations can apply for grants of between £500 and £5000 to provide families with cash or items like fuel or food vouchers





Phase 2 of the Communities Mental Health and Wellbeing Fund is now open.  Find out more here: 

The #AndSheCycles campaign aims to address the barriers faced by teenage girls and young women when cycling
Up to £2000 per group could be available to help purchase things such as bikes, lockers, helmets or other equipment necessary to help support more young women cycling.
We will be taking applications for this year's round of funding from Monday 10th October 2022- 31st December 2022.

Training, Opportunities, Webinars and Consultations.


The North Highlands and Islands Climate Hub have funding available to offer groups training so members can achieve a level2 food safety and hygiene certificate. Support in Mind are hoping to hear from communities in North West Sutherland,
particularly if you are from a marginalised background and have additional hardships accessing mental health services. For example you might be from a black or ethnic minority background, refugee or asylum seeker, Young Carer 
or LGBTQI+.
