Did you spot the CASWA Book Fairy?

The Caithness and Sutherland Women's Aid
have been taking part in 16 days of Activism
(the international period of activism against gender-based violence
and abuse that runs annually from 25th Nov to 10th Dec)

They have been taking part in events across Sutherland and Caithness including -

  • A book fairy project where they distributed 36 women-centred and feminist books across Caithness & Sutherland. Books were kindly donated by their social media community and Dornoch Bookshop;
  • Held a community event in Caithness with performances about gender-based violence and abuse;
  • Put out a call to men to engage them in the White Ribbon campaign. They've had such a great response that they’re still meeting with men and getting pledges after 16 days.
White Ribbon Scotland is active all year round. You can find out more and sign the pledge here https://www.whiteribbonscotland.org.uk
