SCP Food Group Visit

The Sutherland Community Partnership Food Group were kindly invited along by the HIE Sutherland Resilience Group to explore and share ideas at the Kyle of Sutherland Development Trust.  After an inspiring, sharing session, the group had a tour of the facilities and the Community Food Larder and then a fantastic lunch at the Community Food Stop Café. 

It was a really useful day and left many groups with lots of plans for the future!

Congratulations to The Dornoch Trust which successfully purchased Earls Cross Woodland from Sutherland Estates. Looking ahead, the Trust hopes to improve signage and paths, including creating better access to users with limited mobility. The Trust also hopes to encourage schools, charities like Historylinks, and other bodies to use the woodland for the benefit of the whole community.
